The seat you'd fill
Lumuv turns YouTube into a client source for coaches, consultants and educators. You turn their raw recordings into long-form videos that feel premium and keep the right viewer watching.
You get an approved script and the footage. From there the edit is yours: build the story, find the rhythm, and add the b-roll, text, sound design and motion. Each client has their own visual identity, and your cuts should look like they belong on that channel, not like a template.
A small team that treats every channel like a business asset.
Strategy, ideas, scripts, thumbnails, editing and optimisation all sit with one team, so you're never editing in the dark. We grew Taekwondo Fury from under 10K to 100K subscribers in twelve months. Views matter, but the real scoreboard is the clients a channel brings in.
Remote and async by default. Nobody watches your hours. Work when it suits you and be reachable while a cut is in review.
Premium over trendy
We want edits a founder is proud to put their name on, not ones that chase whatever is trending this month. Experimenting is welcome.
Results, not tasks
A cut that follows every note but still drags isn't finished. If the footage or the script has a problem, raise it and suggest a fix.
Let the graph decide
Retention, click-through and booked calls end debates. Want to try a new pacing style? Pitch it as an experiment and say what result would make it worth keeping.
Small team, real say
There are no layers of management here. A good idea from you can be on a client's channel the same week.
- Feedback on every cut within 48 hours of delivery.
- A short async update each week: done, blocked, up next.
- A monthly 1:1 with the team about your results, your rate and which channels you want next.
You'll do well here if
- You've cut long-form YouTube videos that are live right now. Send us 3 of them.
- You can point to any cut in your timeline and explain what it does for the viewer.
- You're at home in Premiere Pro, and comfortable building titles and simple motion in After Effects.
- You can take a 10–15 minute video from raw footage to first cut in two or three working days.
- Your project files make sense to someone else: named bins, clean sequences, nothing missing.
- A note given once stays fixed. You don't need to hear it twice.
- If a delivery is going to slip, we hear it from you early, not on the deadline.
- You're ahead on AI. You already use tools like Claude, Descript or Runway to work faster, and you keep up with what's new before we have to ask.
Where the work lives
Premiere Pro
Where every long-form edit is built, from assembly to final master.
After Effects
Titles, lower thirds, animated data and each client's motion style.
Frame.io
Every cut goes here for review, with notes pinned to the exact frame.
Notion
Briefs, client style guides and the delivery calendar.
Google Drive
Raw footage in, finished masters out, in a fixed folder structure.
From footage to publish
- Build the story. Assemble from the approved script and shape it into a clear arc.
- Make it look like the client. Layer b-roll, text, sound design and motion to each channel's visual style.
- Fix slow parts by cutting. If a section drags, tighten it rather than covering it with stock footage.
- Turn notes around fast. Revisions go back within a day.
- Close the loop. Check where viewers dropped off once the video has been live for a week, and carry that into your next edit.
How you get paid
A rate per video
Set together on our first call, based on video length, edit complexity and your track record. Other clients are fine alongside us, as long as our deadlines and quality hold.
Full-time seat & lead editor
Editors who deliver consistently can join the team full-time and step up to lead editor: reviewing other editors' cuts and owning the edit standard across every client.
How you'll grow into it
Learn the house style
Edit for one client while you get to know their look and our pacing standards.
Take on more channels
Become the editor clients rely on, and add channels to your roster as you go.
Own a specialty
Go deep on what you're best at, whether that's motion design, sound or a channel's visual identity.
Probably not for you if
- Your reel is all Shorts and Reels. Keeping someone watching for 15 minutes is a different craft, and it's the core of this role.
- Effects come before story. Motion should make a point clearer. If it's only there to look busy, it gets cut.
- You need every shot planned for you. You'll get a script and the footage. Shaping that into a video people watch is the job.
